Clubs

All walking football clubs in Cyprus are invited to join WFiC, to participate in the league, to promote the club on our website and to nominate a club representative to join the Stakeholders Committee.

We are committed to asking players from all clubs in Cyprus to participate in trials for our representative teams and we are delighted that the current squad includes players from five clubs: Akamas, ENAD Panthers, Pafos United, Polis & Latchi Lions and Wembley (Xylofagou).

WFiC was originally formed by Pafos United Walking Football Club (PUWFC), the first walking football club in Cyprus and ENAD Panthers WFC of Polis Chrysochous.

Pafos United Walking Football Club – Passion, Dedication, and a Community United

Pafos United Walking Football Club were formed on 5th February 2019 and was the idea of Malcolm Bushell (Chair Feb 2019-Jul 2021). On Day 1, when we played just once a week, the club started with 13 interested players and only Ian Charlesworth, Roger Fear and Bert Innes are still members of the club. Numbers grew quickly and within a few weeks word had spread with articles in the Cyprus Mail, Paphos Post and various local publications and 26 players were turning up. It was at this point we decided to vote on a club name and out of around 40 names, Pafos United Walking Football Club was born.

Next we needed sponsors and a kit – NFS Europe helped this cause and our first kit was produced and launched at a great Rock FM! Live broadcast event at Hazeli Lounge Bar in Tala in summer 2019. We’ve had many sponsors since and two further kits. We might even be looking for a new kit and will be discussing this over the course of 2025. The club currently boasts a membership close to 100 and we’re always on the look out for new members (so if interested please email for further details club-sec@puwfc.com.

We play on Monday & Wednesday evenings 1800-2000hrs and Tuesday & Friday mornings 0830-1030hrs. We are affiliated with Walking Football in Cyprus WFiC and participate in the WFiC League. Details can be found on our website www.puwfc.com (currently under development). We are a proud Social Sports Club and Non Profit Making Organisation something we achieved in 2024 after a few years of time consuming process protocol and paperwork. For Info our Chair is Trevor Trueman (chair@puwfc.com) our Honorary President is Tony Watson (hp@puwfc.om), and our Club Secretary is Ian Charlesworth (Charlie) (club-sec@puwfc.com)

From seasoned professionals to promising newcomers, our team is a blend of talent, determination, and resilience. Every player wears our jersey with pride, representing Pafos United at every match. Our coaching staff and support crew work tirelessly to ensure that each player is at their best, embodying the spirit and skill that define WFiC.
