
Walking Football in Cyprus (WFiC) is a not for profit organisation that promotes walking football in Cyprus. It is affiliated to the Federation of International Walking Football Associations (FIWFA).
WFiC comprises a Board and a Stakeholder Committee.
- The Board is the primary decision making body and is responsible for overall strategy, operations, finance and governance. The Board consists of the following posts: Chair, Finance Director, Media, Digital & Relationships Director and Operations Director.
- The Board is accountable to its stakeholders through the Stakeholder Committee. Stakeholders include clubs and their players, WFiC representative squads (players, managers and coaches), referees, Cyprus FA (CFA) and FIFWA.
We are committed to working with stakeholders to:
- promote and develop walking football in all communities, including the development of grassroots walking football and creating competitive leagues
- participate in international competition and prepare for the next FIWFA World Nations Cup
- apply the Laws of the Game (LOTG) from the Walking Football Association (WFA) (Walking football rules (WFA) and (Κώδικας Σεβασμού (WFA) – Ελληνικός )
- promote fairness and diversity through equal opportunities
- ensure safety for players and referees by applying standards for
First Aid, recognising the Respect Code of Conduct and managing a Disciplinary Panel
