We have been very busy after the end of our league season, managing three WFiC representative teams, competing in two countries in late April and early May.
We were proud to host a series of matches against England Kicking Cancer at Fair Game in Paphos 27-29 April; and we sent a team to gain valuable experience at an international tournament in Kalyves, Crete 1-2 May against two teams from hosts Titans WFC as well as Lymington WFC from the UK.
Summary of results against England Kicking Cancer
Monday 27 April 2026: Cyprus over 50s Lost 0-2 and Won 1-0.
Tuesday 28 April 2026: Cyprus over 70s Lost 1-2 and 0-2.
Wednesday 28 April 2026: Cyprus over 50s Lost 0-2 and Won 1-0.
The team in Crete won three, lost three and drew one of their matches.
WFiC is proud of its players’ performances and would like to thank the England team for visiting Cyprus and Titans for their hospitality. Both helped us to develop our teams in competitive matches.
The tireless England Kicking Cancer team also played local clubs ENAD Panthers (from Polis) on 30 April and Paphos United on 1 May.
